Holiday Giving

The PTA will be hosting a Giving Workshop for our students on December 6 and 7. This is a long-standing tradition at our schools that we’re so excited to bring back! All students will be given the opportunity to choose a gift for someone they love, then a volunteer will wrap the gift and the student creates a gift tag for it. There is no cost for these gifts. Our students have always taken such care with the choosing of their gift, and for some of them, it’s one of the only gifts they’re able to give in a year. We love this opportunity to help each student experience and embrace generosity.
There are a few ways you can help!
DONATE: We need donations of new or gently used items. This can be ANYTHING: household items, toys, stuffies, accessories for men or women, books, lotions, candles, picture frames, board or card games, etc. We also need neutral wrapping paper, gift bows, ribbon, gift bags and tissue paper (blues, silvers, browns, whites, etc. are great!).
VOLUNTEER: We will need help setting up at Central on Monday, December 5, running the workshop in the morning on the 6th at Central, transferring the items to Taken and setting up there. Then running the workshop at Takena on the 7th in the morning, followed by cleaning up and returning the items to be stored at Central. Sign up here or comment below which shift you’d like to help at. https://docs.google.com/…/1ajMPLpeAik1yHMZb3Kf0…/edit…Volunteers do need to complete a background check through the district.
