Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
IMPORTANT: DO NOT park in the yellow zones in front of each school before or after school. When dropping off your child at school you can pull up into the yellow zone as long as the buses are gone and you quickly drop off your child to walk into the building. We need to keep the flow of traffic moving!
Central Arrival Details
• Students enter the building through the front door.
• Students go directly to the playground or the gym depending on weather.
• Front doors are closed/locked at 8:50. Any students arriving after this time will need to report to the office to sign in. (Ring the bell and someone from the office will unlock the door. Students need to sign-in at the front office.)
Central Dismissal Details
• Students getting picked up are released to the appropriate adult on Ferry St.
• Bus riders walk to the bus lines with designated staff.
• Teachers are available for communication after all students are gone.
Takena Arrival Details
• Students enter the building through the front door.
• Students go directly to the playground or the gym depending on weather.
• Students will eat breakfast in the classroom after the bell rings.
• Front doors are closed/locked at 9:00. Any students arriving after this time will report to the office to sign in. (Ring the bell and someone from the office will unlock the door. Parents and students need to sign-in at the front office.)
Takena Dismissal Details
• Students getting picked up will be released to the appropriate adult out of the teacher’s classroom door.
• Bus riders walk to the bus lines with designated staff.
• Students attending CAP walk to the cafeteria.
